What to Actually Compare

Before comparing specific products, it helps to have criteria that cut through marketing copy:

How LeanBiome Stacks Up on These Criteria

LeanBiome discloses its full strain list and cites real, checkable studies for several ingredients (see Ingredients and Does It Work?) — better transparency than many competitors that rely on vague "clinically studied" language without naming a single trial. Its price per bottle is mid-to-upper range for the category, and its 180-day guarantee (verified on the official checkout — see Refund Policy) is longer than the 30–60 day windows common elsewhere in this space.

General Categories Worth Knowing About

Single-strain probiotic supplements — some products isolate just one well-studied strain (like L. gasseri) rather than blending nine. This can mean a more direct link between the product and its cited research, at the cost of not combining multiple potential mechanisms.

Fiber/prebiotic-first products — some gut-health products lean on prebiotic fiber (like inulin) as the primary active ingredient rather than live bacteria strains, with a different (and generally simpler) evidence base.

General weight-management supplements without a gut-health angle — a much larger and more variable category; evidence quality varies enormously by product and ingredient, and should be evaluated the same way as above rather than assumed.

We're not naming and ranking specific competitor products here without having done the same level of ingredient- and evidence-verification we did for LeanBiome — that's a separate research project, not a page we'll pad with unverified claims about other brands.
